Make Money Writing Ebooks for the Amazon Kindle
April 26th, 2009 by Reagan MiersOne of the ways of making great money online is by writing, publishing, and marketing your own ebooks. The problem with this endeavor though, is that takes so much time and effort to sell your own ebook effectively. Putting up a website is one thing, and then you’d have to drive in the traffic. It would take a long time for any sales to come in, if at all.
Now there’s a faster way of selling your ebooks! Write ebooks that can be published on the Amazon Kindle and find yourself having a steady income from this. If can write great ebooks but don’t have the time and expertise to set up a website for this, publishing on the Kindle is the answer you’ve been looking for! It’s also a great sideline for busy individuals like entrepreneurs and business owners.
First of all, it’s helpful to understand how the Kindle marketplace functions before you understand how you can make your mark there. Basically, when someone has a Kindle they are able to use their reader to browse through book selections. When they find one they want, they simply select that book and make their purchase. They don’t need to bother with their computer or Internet connection, or anything like that.
Imagine if your ebook will be among the many titles available to the Kindle users. This is highly possible because as soon as Amazon lets you be a publisher, you can have your ebook included in the Kindle range of choices. You ring in a sale as soon as someone finds your ebook, likes it, and buys it!
You may be a great writer and your content is relevant, but the odds of you getting a publishing deal are low. Even with publishing online, it’s not that easy to generate interest, much less sales.
When you’re an Amazon publisher you are using the power of their website and Kindle system. In fact, you don’t really need to worry about anything as you get to take full advantage of their traffic as well. There are thousands upon thousands of people who are using the Kindle (which is why it’s sold out all the time!) so there is no reason you shouldn’t be able to make money by being a publisher.
All you need to do is believe in yourself and your ability to write and deliver good content for people. It is best to do some research before you get started, and to see how other people have had success selling on Kindle. That way you can rest assured that you won’t be wasting your time running into dead ends as you get started. That isn’t to say that it has to be difficult, because it definitely doesn’t!
Writing ebooks gives you an amazing sense of accomplishment. There is no reason for you to end up discouraged just because you’re finding it hard to get a website up and traffic to that site. Amazon can really cut some corners for you with their Kindle marketplace, making it a lot easier for you to earn an income by selling your ebooks there.

A very interesting article … You are right in what you are saying … in the past e-books was a very popular way to make money online but you did need your own website and it has become the norm these days.
What you have described here is a great way to put your e-book in front of an audience that may never have found your own website.
If you put a link in your e-book as well as the sale you can drive some quality leads back to your site.
