Michael Gambon, Robbie Coltrane and Alan Rickman who play Albus Dumbledore, Hagrid and Professor Snape are brilliant as always with Snape getting more of a chance to show off his outstanding interpretation of the slightly confusing and mysterious persona of the fictitious character.

Both the Cinematography and the special effects of the movie have contributed a great deal to the enjoyment of the movie which appears wholesome and can stand alone. In spite of this, fans will notice that many characters present in the book such as the Dursleys and Winkie are missing in the movie. This is chalked up to the time restraints of the movie which is already longer than other English films.
